An expansive wall unit incorporating shelving, drawers and a cupboard with sliding doors. The shelves are skewered by three legs resting onto pegs which in turn pierce horizontally through the legs. The structure allows for easy construction of the flat parts in situ.

An open wardrobe with closed top unit. The main unit was designed to fit around a sloping ceiling and opening door with the top unit mounted on a sliding slot meaning it could be readjusted for a more regular position in the future or removed entirely and used alone. To further aid with potential relocation the main unit also flat packs.

A flat packing adjustable shelving unit. The idea with the unit was to have something that could be flat packed and re-assembled easily while allowing some adjustment depending on what they are used to store. The slatted shelf halves are independent from each other bolting into the ladder like ends. Once the shelves are in place the dividing supports can be placed anywhere along their length. Finally the sliding aluminium screens slot into place.

Heavy Metal

Coat rack using hollow steel spheres and hemispheres. Working with the perforation of the back panel, holes are drilled that correspond with the diameter of the spheres. Lines are then cut from these holes connecting the dots of the perforation and the space between the lines folded out to create arms for the spheres. Finally the spheres are welded into position.

A ply shelf with compound mitred brackets. The brackets and shelf are cut from a single strip of ply 210mm wide.

Compound

Shelving with base cabinet. Three units pierced by 38mm tubular steel supports. Once the base unit is in place and levelled the units above drop onto the supports stopping on smaller peg like tubes. Once everything is place the units are tied to the wall for added security.

Gentleman’s Row

Record cabinet in all grey materials. Valchromat shelves are supported by powder coated aluminium uprights, with sliding steel doors and raw aluminium divides. Each component a different material or finish each in a shade of grey. The shelves were made for a home in Amsterdam on the fourth floor of a traditional townhouse with this in mind the main structure bolts together with the internal components slotting in allowing for the unit to be delivery flat and assembled in situ with nothing more than an Allen key.

A chest of four drawers. Designed with a skeletal steel frame rather than a solid carcass exposing the drawer structure whilst cutting down on materials. The handles are ready made forged hollow steel hemispheres which have been drilled to attach with a central screw.

Wall mounted tv and shelving unit. Oak boards are joined and supported by laser cut brackets. The brackets use a variation of the same arc cutout throughout which aids folding and also allows for easier cable routing.

Diamond

A 2.4m long sideboard with middle divide that acts as a mirror line. Each side is identical with four sliding doors opening from the centre. The sideboard was designed to fit within a purpose built dining room for a Japanese supper club, the materials colour and aesthetic are intended to compliment the room and use.

Bahco

A Sideboard designed to use materials and components that I either had in stock or could get off the shelf, with the exception of the sliding doors. The main carcass was constructed using ready planed Redwood planks which were joined to make boards with the remaining parts selected from off cuts and timber I had in to stock, intended to contrast while creating a cohesive whole – Oak dowel legs, Birch ply drawers, Douglas Fir connecting the legs to the base, Oak Veneer for the drawer fronts. The final parts are the laser cut Aluminum doors and Hewi drawer pulls.
